I am a healthcare data scientist and PhD candidate in Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. My focus pertains to machine learning with heterogeneous data. I am part of the Vision and Image Processing (VIP) lab and the Waterloo Health Information Systems and Technology Lab (WHISTL). I also sometimes attend meetings of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) group.

I have 18 years of professional IT experience, with expertise in information security and privacy. I completed a MMath in computer science (2012) and was a member of the Computational Health Information Lab (CHIL) and the Cryptography, Security and Privacy (CrySP) group.
